Enough about the kids, this post is (almost) all about ME.  Today I had a root canal.  At the ripe old age of 32 I had a root canal.  I still have 2 more appointments before it is finished, but it feels so much better.  Yesterday I left work early since I was in much, much pain, and I was very lucky to get into the dentist today.  After the dentist tortured me trying to figure out which tooth it was (which I had already told him, of course), he asked me a very silly question.

Dentist:  “Would you like to fix it today?”

Me: (thinking to myself) Ummm…No, I actually revel in pain.  Bring it on, I say.  Why do you think I had kids??

Me: (actually what I said) Yes, I would LOVE to! Thank you!

My teeth are less than stellar, and if possible, I would trade them all in for a nice new, non-sensitive set of pearly whites.  I really hope that our kids do not have my defective teeth genes.  So far, Kai has a pretty full set of teeth, and he even attempts to brush his teeth.  This is pretty much him eating the toothpaste off the brush and asking for “more”.  Hey, at least it is a start!

I am not looking forward to his first dentist appointment.  I anticipate crying and screaming.  I think I’ll make Brian take him…
