This week Melody’s prompt was much easier. She just wanted us to create something and enjoy the process. Last week was deep enough, so we get a break. Thanks, Melody! 😀
At first I was going to make a plan and create from there, but the point for this week was just to go with the flow and let your creativity spill forth. So, that is what I did. I used to be a “pro” doodler, so I did my doodling thang, added some colors and made this bird. Poor thing seems to get lost a bit, but oh well. Here she is…just sorta spilled forth…the creativity did flow-eth. 😉 It was fun!
Creating spontaneous works of art is good for the soul. Look at how much fun our kids have with a few crayons and several pieces of paper. They aren’t making masterpiece works of art, but they are enjoying themselves. They let their imagination take over and create something that makes them happy. That is what art should do for you, even if you don’t have skill at drawing, painting, etc. Do you think our kids care that no one but them knows what they drew??
“Do you think our kids care that no one but them knows what they drew??”
My point exactly.
So now I must add Master Doodler to your list of amazing talents. Looks like a bird of “joy” to me. The variety of lines…of the bird and surrounding her…give the piece such energy. Way to go in not making a detailed plan, but rather working intuitively.
Thanks for the reminder to create for self…like a child. It truly is what art is all about.
WOW! I love this! I could look at it for a long time, and still find beautiful little lines that I hadn’t seen before. Great job…and very joyful!
I see such grace and energy in your bird. She is really beautiful.
I agree, you are a master doodler. 🙂 Your bird is simple and beautiful. All the curves just add to the grace of the piece. Spontaneous art indeed!
Yep, you are a master doodler! I think you created the perfect bluebird of happiness!
I love your artwork. The color and the business of it with the swirls and bird. cool. I wish I could do that!
Wow! I love that! I didn’t notice the bird right away, then when I read that it was there, it suddenly “popped” out at me!
WOW!!!
simply gorgeous. i love it!
Thanks so much ladies! 😀 I used to sit in my classes in high school and college and just doodle away. I had notebooks covered with my doodling and drawings. I couldn’t just sit there doing nothing and listen. I guess I haven’t changed much really. 😉
simply beautiful. Magestic. Peaceful. Joyful!
That is just beautiful! I love all the swirls!
That is absolutely beautiful!
I’ve posted an impromptu WE assignment on my blog. Please stop by if you have a chance. Thanks!
