Soon enough he will have to deal with how his actions and choices define his masculinity.  A moment may arise when your little boy sees a pair of purple butterfly wings, sitting cast aside.  He may ask, “Are these boy wings?” with his eyes wide and innocent, hopeful you will let him wear those wonderful gossamer wings.  Instead of saying, “No, these are for girls,” say, “Yes, honey, boys can wear butterfly wings.”

They are children…we need to give them wings.
