Every year our elementary school has a school carnival put on by the PTO. They use the proceeds to buy the “extra stuff” that the school system won’t provide, like smartboards. Us parents provide the other “extra stuff” like kleenex for the rooms. Not really sure what they provide to the teachers, but it isn’t much.
I volunteered for the 1st shift in the “crazy hair” area, and Brian volunteered for the 2nd shift in selling tickets.
It is just crazy.
Kids running and yelling everywhere.
I have a very low tolerance for that kind of thing, so the fact that we were able to stay for 2 hours was pretty good. The volunteer lady asked Brian if he could stay for the 3rd shift, and he told her he would be in trouble if he stayed that long. He knows me well!
Here are some pics of our little sweetums enjoying a crazy kid time (crazy hair, their newly acquired vampire teeth and the fake injuries from the “ER”).
We did something similar when I was in Elementary school. I remember the fake injuries always being a hit. I love the crazy hair!!
Hahahah! Kai looks SO different with his hair like that!
our carnival is the same exact way – crazy and i feel pretty anxious and wiped out after it too!
i do like the crazy hair booth idea, though! we do the face painting…but the injuries, hair, vampire teeth….awesome!
Okay – that is WAAAY cooler than any of my childhood carnivals. I would have jumped all over that crazy hair business. The kids look like they loved it!
