Yesterday afternoon I made quite the error in judgment…I gave Kailan some M&M’s.

They were leftover Easter candy, of which we really didn’t give him much candy at all.  Since he normally seems like he just drank 5 Mountain Dews with a Hershey bar chaser, we normally don’t feel the need to add to his combustible energy.  He might explode.

I thought I would be a nice mommy and give him a treat.  He was pretty good most of the day and it was such a good day so far that I apparently felt the need to completely ruin it.  Once he got a taste of those little magic pills he was shoveling them into his mouth as fast as possible.

About an hour later he turned into a raving lunatic!  He was running around the house and yelling, and just became quite uncontrollable for a little bit.  I tried to get him to take a time out because he was getting into everything and not picking up after himself.  He thought it was just a big game.  So there I was holding Anya in one arm and holding Kailan on the chair with the other.  She was looking at him like he had grown two heads and was getting a bit upset at the madness that was before her.

He ended up going to bed early because I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Note to self:  THROW AWAY ALL THE CANDY IN THE HOUSE!
