Well, I couldn’t resist this picture. I think black and white pictures are generally contrasty, showing different textures that color photos may disguise. Here our Kitty is a bit contrasty against the cream wall, and pops right out of the picture.
She’s a funny girl. Leisurely propping herself up against the wall to make her grooming easier. I noticed her showing her belly and grabbed my camera *with the new lens on it*. Once she saw us looking at her, she started purring. As in, “Hey! The humans are noticing me…perhaps I may get petted!”
I guess any attention is better than no attention. Silly kitty! 😉
What kind of contrastiness do you have in store today?
wow, that is one relaxed kitty!

Mine is up !
I love this photo of your kitty !! I need to take a few more of our kitty … the problem is, whenever I see her in a really cute position, I run to get my camera and almost trip over her as I run back ! She must think I’m doing something good because she follows me !!
I love the contrast, too. She is a hoot! Praticaly posing for you!
Here’s mine this week:

PS sent flowers your way – you deserve them!
Great kitty shot, what a pose.

Great contrast! I love the shot of your cat – he definitely agrees that any attention is better than none at all…although who can blame her?

So cute! And I’m not normally a cat person.

My kitty used to do that all the time!

Aww, very cute – she looks so soft. I had a more challenging time with this week’s theme – I kept trying to figure out how to do it with colorful items, and then just gave up and used black and white, or mostly black and white.
Here’s my entry: http://www.sallad.net/blog/2008/01/10/theme-thursday-contrast/
That’s a gorgeous kitten!!! Here’s mine.

Cute kitty. They’re not shy, are they? 🙂
Here is contrast two ways…contrast because of the b&w, and contrast because this is my sweet, happy little boy–although you couldn’t tell it by this photo!

That is so funny! I love when cats sit like that. haha. I am sitting this one out today! 🙂
Happy TT, everyone!
hey all, my theme shot is up.

Great capture. Though I do prefer dogs 🙂
I don’t have photoshop, but I played with the sliders on my iPhoto, and then on flickr.

What a pretty kitty. I’m not sure I quite got the hang of the contrasty thing, but I gave it a shot!

The shadow on the wall is nice. Your black and whites are always so vibrant, and your cat very cute. 🙂

I went super contrasty today! And also posted it early this morning, and forgot to post over here, yeesh!
So here it is, my return to Theme Thursday and my first time over here, thanks Stacy!

Oh Stacy – that is the consummate “cat” photo…
“Yeah, I’m doing my business, here – you wanna make something of it??”
GREAT capture and beautiful contrast!

Love that kitty picture. Very nice contrast.
Here’s my take (I have tried to post a comment earlier but I don’t see it here – hopefully you don’t have a duplicate).

I’m way late in the day, but I wanted to finally participate in TT for once 🙂
Here’s mine:
http://jayner.blogspot.com/2008/01/theme-thursday-contrast.html
that is so great! i love the way she’s sitting up and looking around… great pic!
that is is the greatest cat EVER! I love her. My cat is even more ellusive than my kid, I’ve never gotten a non-blurry picture of him.
If you got that picture with your new lens…I think I want one of those babies, too. 🙂 but seriously, how big is your house that 85mm works? Even 50mm is too close for me often!
And sorry for not participating in TT today…I had planned to and have a post in my mind, but today was a crazy time with no time for such “luxury.” 🙂
Thanks everyone and thanks for participating! Our kitty LOVES attention, a bit too much you may say. Anyone that comes to our house always comments on how friendly our kitty is. She loves rubbing and being held and being petted.
Christina our house is 2700 sq ft, but it is hard to use this lens inside. I got it for outside mostly, but I love the richness I get from this lens. It’s fabulous!
Here’s my first Theme Thursday. http://asonflower.blogspot.com/2008/01/study-in-contrast.html
Love the little pads on paw your kitty is showing.
