I am grateful for a short commute and all-wheel drive. Not much snow fell today, but it was enough to really make the roads sloppy and slippery. My Acadia handled it pretty well, and due to my short commute I wasn’t late to work like the rest of the metro.
I am grateful for our smiling little flower, Kailan. It is really nice when I ask him to do something (provided he hears me…which is the challenge), that he actually gets up and does it! Without the huffy attitude of his sister! He’s a treasure, I tell you.
I am grateful for the fact that Kailan is not shy when it comes to getting up in front of everyone. Here he is at the 2nd Grade Performance. I didn’t have to make him a special outfit this year. Bummer. 😉
I’m grateful for sunny winter days.
I’m grateful for a wonderful hairstylist that cut Anya’s hair into a very nice shoulder-length bob. Now I won’t have to listen to much angst while combing out snarlies from her long hair. This will make my life much easier…plus she’s just cute.
I am grateful that Brian volunteered to coach Kailan’s basketball team this year. Despite a bit of frustration on his part, I know Kailan really likes to have his dad as the coach. I’m sure Brian would be grateful if more than half of Kailan’s team would show up for games. See…frustration. At least Kai gets LOTS of exercise on those days. 😉
I am grateful for the wonderful community center here that has ice skating rinks. Anya and I went out today and got a little exercise (Kailan opted out of physical activity). (camera phone picture)
I just had Harper’s hair cut shorter too. It is so much easier to brush. It’s nice to have one less thing to fight over. Anya looks adorable with her new do.
Ha! Himself as coahc of Small Boy’s basketball team has suffered the same frustration. He had a rule that he only ‘played’ the boys who bothered to come to practice! The others got a short run, but the regular practicees got a lot longer on the court. Seemed to work. 🙂
