It started snowing on Thursday night and continued into Saturday.  Much playing outside in the snow occurred.  There is no reason why you can’t play on the swings, the slides and with the sand toys when it is snowy and cold.  The tricycles, well…those are a bit of a challenge.

Attempting to trike the path, but not enough room for both with the snow.

Slides go really fast when you throw snow down them…fun stuff!

I think the official tally is 7″ of snow.  It is that very wet and heavy snow that is great for snowmen, but bad for evergreens bearing all that weight on their boughs.

At least we had help with all that shoveling…not that we needed it in the back yard, though. 😉

It gave mommy time to take pictures of the pretty outdoors, though.  😉  She just had the challenge of keeping her camera dry with the constantly falling snow.

At least I wasn’t the only one having fun in the snow!

It may look cold, but it was pretty warm at above 30 degrees F.  As long as you are all dressed in snow pants (yes, me too!) you stay mostly dry and warm.  It’s just those errant snowballs down the back of your jacket that may cause a shiver or two (blame Daddy on that one!).  😀

HOWEVER, to be really depressing…I took this last year on March 23. *sigh*  Will this winter ever end???
