I got a call from daycare on Monday. The little princess had thrown up twice…and would I please come get her. Since the hubby is traveling for business, I picked up both kids and brought them home…along with my pile of work. I had high hopes for naps, since I picked them up at 12:30. I had to wake Anya up when I picked her up, and apparently the power nap she had was enough to tide her over. No naps, just lots of cartoons and throwing plastic eggs down the stairs (cute picture above: from last weekend). At least they kept themselves occupied because mommy had tax returns to do!
She must have just had a bit of an upset tummy. She had no fever and really seemed perfectly fine. I sent her to daycare the next day and didn’t get a call. We dodged a bullet with that one! It seems like everyone has gotten some touch of the flu this winter, including Grandma Gretch and Grandpa right now. Hopefully the warm front will bring on some wellness around here.
Oh, now I miss my little thumb sucker.
Such a sweet photo. Glad you guys dodged it!
WAH! I know about that bullet. You’re dreading the thought daycare won’t take them the next day due to the 24 hour fever rule and then you’ll be rushing for a doctor’s note to reassure the daycare you’re kids really are healthy and can stay. Been there totally. 🙂 Glad everyone is feeling better today.
Great photo! I hope that the sickies stay away!
Isn’t that the way it always goes?! They’re sick just long enough to change all the plans. Well, at least she’s not still sick!! LOL that sweetly sleeping photo is NOT from when she’s sick!
I’m glad you dodged the bullet! Drew and I are sharing a sinus infection…so I didn’t dodge it 🙂
beautiful sleeping picture!
Oh what a sweet photo… so glad everything turned out fine.
