We woke up on Day 1 of our vacation to SNOW.  We were so glad we were leaving town.   I got the window seat on the plane, which was rather lucky for me since Brian sat next to the smelly guy who didn’t shower after drinking the night before.  I took this shot over the Sierra Nevada’s.

We got to the San Francisco airport and got our car.  We tried and tried to get all of them there bags in the trunk and it was just not happening.  I mean, we should have been able to fit 3 bags in the trunk of this, right??

Oh well, at least it had room in between the seats!  We made our way to my cousin’s place where her husband and her share their place with his son, 4 dogs, 5 horses, and two longhorns named Thor and Ruby.  They live in the midst of farms and orchards.

She made us some very yummy dinner and we drank lots of beer that night.  Ah, vacation!  The next day we got up and traveled to Yosemite.  I got lots of beautiful shots.  Pretty much whichever direction you turn, there is a scenic view.

This was at the base of Bridalveil Falls.  It was like standing in a shower and it was a challenge to keep my camera dry.  The hubby stood in front of me and ducked when I wanted to take a shot.  What a good hubby!

Yosemite Falls – another waterfall that felt like you were getting a shower at the base.

I took lots more shots, but I won’t bore you.  We have been to Glacier Park, Yellowstone, the Black Hills and driven through the Smokies.  Yosemite rivals Glacier, which has always been my choice for the most beautiful National Park.  Yosemite is more green and not as rugged, though.

Tomorrow…wine country!
