Well, another busy month has passed us by!  I have been busy with year-end work and Brian has been pretty busy as well.  He was called to the Federal Court for Jury Duty twice this month and was on a trial last week.  Thankfully it only lasted a few days and he said the verdict was quick.   Brian’s advice is to not go into the Dollar Store in Robinsdale as it has a couple of felons and a drug addict that works there.  Good advice…

We had the follow-up to my ultrasound on January 12 and the doc said that all is well.  He said the placenta is in the back this time which is probably why I can feel her moving so much more and earlier than I did with Kai.  Brian actually remembered that the placenta was in the front last time, so there was a cushion there when he kicked.  I’m glad one of us can remember these things!   I have been feeling more soreness this time, probably my pelvis separating earlier since it has done it before.  Sometimes I feel like I just got back from a two-day trail ride!  My back is also hurting me more, but I think that has more to do with picking up my 25 pound wonder than anything else.

Kai went for his very first sledding adventure on January 21.  It had snowed probably about 6 inches and I went to Target on the way home to pick up a sled.  I wasn’t sure if there would be anymore left, since it was late in the season, but they still had a few.  I just followed the kids voices saying “I want that one!”.  When I got home we put Kai in his snowsuit and boots and pushed him down the little hill we have behind the house.  He was really enjoying himself!  I took him out that Saturday, too, and all that weekend he would bring us his snowsuit.  It was just too cute for words!
