This week it is more of a LINK to a recipe, than an actual recipe by me.  I made this dressing, and used it to marinate some pork loin chops (for basically a day – I made it the night before and started them marinating).  I grilled them tonight for dinner, adding some feta on top at the end of the grilling time.  The dressing can be used for a sauce over the top, too.  Then I made just some grilled potatoes with shallots, red peppers and some roasted vegetable seasoning in an aluminum foil package and a romaine salad with the rest of the dressing (plus some greek olives, grape tomatoes and more feta).   It was a yummy dinner, topped by a 2008 Chateau de Vaudieu Chateauneuf-Du-Pape.

I am very glad that grilling season is back.  There is nothing I like better than to know I can have dinner ready in less than 30 minutes and get some fresh air while I do it.  Afterwards we can sit outside and have dinner al fresco on the deck while we listen to our brand new fountain.

Not this day, though.  It was threatening to rain.  Again.

Did I explain about our fountain yet?

No, well….we needed to buy a new one.  As you can see from this post, we didn’t exactly get it out of the water very quickly last Fall.  Once Brian got it out and cleaned it up, it sat in the garage for the winter.  It must have had some residual water that turned to ice and in turn…broke off a part.  It stopped working.

Then we bought a new one online.  It seemed a bit flimsy and it works for about 4 hours and then gets all gummed up.  We need one with a really good filter.  Brian finally found one like our old one online, so we can again have our lovely fountain noise in the background.

Moral of the story – get the fish inside before it turns too cold and costs us lots of money.
