I was asked by my friend’s daughter-in-law to take pictures of their little 6 month girl. I don’t often get asked to take pictures, and actually have someone follow-through with setting up a time, so this was such a pleasure to do. It helped that she was in a good mood for most of the time, and just too cute to boot!
Those backdrops up above are actually fabric I taped to the wall with painter’s tape. I also made the cream dress she is wearing, as if I ever go pro with this gig, I want to offer that as one of my “perks”. I love simple clothes on babies, since they are all natural cuteness, anyways.
That was pretty much my Sunday, right there. I edited pictures for a several hours after the shoot…it’s amazing how quickly the time passes!
I did take pictures of my children this weekend, I promise…you will just have to wait to see them playing in the finally melting snow. 🙂
Fantastic job, Stacy. And I guess you can’t go wrong with an adorable baby.
What a great idea to tape up fabric. The other day I saw a pic that some had used a rug somehow hanging behind. You creative people never stop thinking.
Before you said it I was wondering if that was some fabric from your, um, small collection 🙂 It looks great! I love the photos, and I bet the Mom just went wild.
Too cute! I love the cream dress! 🙂
gorgeous: the baby, the fabric, & the photos!
Once again, you did a fabulous job! 🙂 I have gotten so many compliments on our engagement pictures too!
Isn’t my niece just a cutie?? I love her so much!!!
Those photos are just lovely! I have been wanting to do some shots with a fabric background. Did you iron it out really well before putting it up. It really looks seamless!! And what a beautiful baby and dress 😉 Bravo!
Those are great! Certainly a perk with the cute outfit. And, such a cutie to wear it…..
i love the idea of using fabric. very creative!
These are great ~ I particularly love the last one, it is very expressive. A question: how do you create the pseudo cut-film edges? I like that look a lot. (I’m assuming these are digital photos….)
Thanks.
If I lived anywhere near you I’d let you take pictures of my dumplings anytime. Your photography is wonderful, and I don’t know why someone wouldn’t follow through. Great idea to tape up the fabric for a backdrop. Worked wonderfully.
What a great idea for the backdrop! And what an amazing idea for the clothing as part of your pro package–so gorgeous! You’ll never lack for clients!
Oh my gosh – what adorable pictures !
Love the back drop, so delicate and girly, and what a sweet bright dress.
What a doll! LOVE the fabric!
Impressive!!!
You did great on these shots 🙂 and I LOVE the litte dress. That would be a FUN perk!
OH AND THE FABRIC ON THE WALLS – SO clever and perfect!!!
I’ve been “away” for a week or so – I missed a lot on your blog 🙂 Going to catch up!!!!
I can’t stand the cuteness! The chubby cheeks, the fuzzy red hair! She’s a sweetie. And your work is fantastic – both the pictures and the dress! Great idea to hang fabric.
Stacy, those photos are fabulous! I love the first one the best… That bright dress just pops!
That last photo is amazing. I mean, they all are but that last one … WOW !!! Great idea with the fabric back drop ! Gonna have to try that … course, I’ll have to get some fabric first ! ha
You did a great job! The shots, the fabric, the dress – it’s all just too adorable!

I could have sworn I left a comment on these GORGEOUS shots1 She is so cute and I love the first one. But I don’t see it oh well, could have been during my keyboard malfunction.
I love the last one, too and that dress is adorable – great job!
