It started snowing on Thursday night and continued into Saturday. Much playing outside in the snow occurred. There is no reason why you can’t play on the swings, the slides and with the sand toys when it is snowy and cold. The tricycles, well…those are a bit of a challenge.
Attempting to trike the path, but not enough room for both with the snow.
Abandoned
Fire and ice
Slides go really fast when you throw snow down them…fun stuff!
I think the official tally is 7″ of snow. It is that very wet and heavy snow that is great for snowmen, but bad for evergreens bearing all that weight on their boughs.
At least we had help with all that shoveling…not that we needed it in the back yard, though. 😉
It gave mommy time to take pictures of the pretty outdoors, though. 😉 She just had the challenge of keeping her camera dry with the constantly falling snow.
At least I wasn’t the only one having fun in the snow!
It may look cold, but it was pretty warm at above 30 degrees F. As long as you are all dressed in snow pants (yes, me too!) you stay mostly dry and warm. It’s just those errant snowballs down the back of your jacket that may cause a shiver or two (blame Daddy on that one!). 😀
HOWEVER, to be really depressing…I took this last year on March 23. *sigh* Will this winter ever end???
Great photos. My favorite is the abandoned trike. It’s perfect.
Beautiful, albeit wintry, pictures! I wish for spring for you soon…we’re seeing daffodils and snowflakes–but just a few flakes!
~~
beautiful photos, sigh, someday this year is will be spring and winter will melt away.
We woke up to snow on Easter morning, but it melted by egg hunting time. The week the forecast says some temps will be in the 70;s and I am thrilled about that!
Well, I’m still waiting for my snow. I really appreciate you sharing yours so beautifully.
BTW, Anya is looking like such a big girl. When did that happen? 😮
Ohhh what wonderful shots- even if it IS still winter!
You are so good. Those are fantastic. Not that your kiddos aren’t just adorable, but I love that one of the tricycle alone. We love the snow, from way over here!
Look at all that snow! I LOVE the photos.
It’s cool here again, too…but supposed to warm up this week. We’re expecting temps in the mid seventies by Friday.
Gorgeous! I love all of them – but the “Abandoned” one is fantastic! I really, really love that one.
I’m sorry that it is STILL snowing…enough already!
You are amazingly talented! I don’t think I could pick a favorite – those are all just magnificent!
I’m right there with you, though without the snow. We only got a sprinkling in this last snow storm… but I’m longing for spring.
Love the pics…as always.
I’m glad you’re able to still find the positives about snow…at the end of March! It certainly is good for phots, and you got a ton of great ones. I too love “abandoned.” And your little shoveling helper. 😉
Thanks everyone! I actually felt a little creative this weekend. Shooting pictures inside all the time has gotten pretty old. I’m ready to venture outside.
Oh Stacy! What wonderful pictures! I love the tricycle picture too. Awesome.
I love the picture of the tricycle just sitting in the snow. For some reason I can’t stop looking at it! 🙂
gorgeous pictures, but yeah, i can understand why you are getting sick of the snow. hope warmer temps are heading your way soon.
love that 2nd pic btw. it’s perfect!
