I mailed out most of the cards on Friday after Thanksgiving, so hopefully everyone on my list has it. I still have cards, so if I don’t have your address just send me it via e-mail: stacy at thelandofka dot com.
Not quite as creative as last year’s card, but I tried!
I usually start out by perusing Christmas quotes until I find one that peaks my imagination. Then I figure out how to stage it, usually making the clothes for the kids.
I knew I would have a hard time topping last year’s card, but hopefully it still meets expectations.
A few things:
* I took their pictures on a plain cream backdrop, which was fairly easy to cut them out of.
* The dove and swirly thing on the inside separating the text, I drew.
* Textures came from http://www.shadowhousecreations.com.
* Snow and cloud brushes came from deviantart.com…sorry I forgot to save the artist’s names.
* Made Anya’s clothes on the cover, but not Kai’s.

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season (Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, et al…)

I received my card this week. I LOVE them. You are so creative!!!! I usually do a collage photo card and call it a day. I aspire to be like you. : )
Ha ha – I was going to say the same thing as my husband 🙂 We have it up on our card display and we LOVE it! I was tempted to get out your last year’s one too because I love it so much!
