We got back today from my parents house. The big 4th of July party went smashingly. There were lots of waterguns and water fun for the kids and us adults got to visit and eat good food. Kai and Anya got together with W. and H., who are cousins. The kids always have such a good time together that you would think they were all cousins. Though they do look related anyways.
Man, these car trips are boring
But, worth the wait when there are water gun fights to be had…
Sometimes you need to cage these wild animals 😉
They spent most of the time in their swimsuits
Baby boy T. and his mommy
We planned to go back home on Saturday after helping with the clean up, but there was still some beer left in keg…and well, being true Wisconsinites, we couldn’t let that go to waste. We had some good discussions and kinship with my relations and a few neighbors. My friend came over again with W. and baby boy T. I got to hold the little sweetie some more and the kids got to shoot each other with water again. It was relaxing and fun and something we don’t get to do very often.
And the kids were very happy that Grandma and Grandpa had root beer on tap. Nothing like hearing a three year old ask for a “beer”.
Note: This was the first time we ever let them drink soda, but since it was a party and a time for fun and guilty pleasures…we let them. It’s not like they were going to keep to their bedtimes anyways!
P.S. Thursday Theme is over to the side. 🙂
Uhh huh… we all know you let them drink “beer” everyyyday!!! 😉 haha. Sounds like a great weekend!
Sounds like so much fun! Root beer! Yum! The first shot of Anya is breathtaking. Sometimes I prefer photos of kids not smiling. Shows their beautiful facial features. 🙂
I thought that giving them REAL beer was how you always got them to sleep? Ha ha — but you’re right…there is something too funny about listening to a kid as for beer.
It looks like a good time was had by all – what a great way to celebrate the 4th!
Thanks for letting me know the site loads weird. It loads fine in firefox. However, I just noticed on my laptop at home it loads weird too in IE, but in IE at work it loads fine. I think there is a glitch in the template code but I don’t know how to fix it yet. If you have firefox it should load fine it that…
Waterguns and water fun on the 4th sounds like lots of fun. And root beer is a good pop for kids, at least it’s not caffeinated. W.W. likes it too.
I agree, that first shot of Anya is wonderful. Glad to hear you guys had a good weekend. Its always nice to sit and watch the kids play while you can get some adult time with family and friends. Everyone is content.
What gorgeous shots! Sounds like fun was had by all!
I was gonna say, too, the real stuff… now that a way to put ’em to sleep. And the cage pic, funny.
Such fun shots. My fav has to be the plump babe in his mama’s arms 🙂
I adore your pictures. They describe summer so wonderfully!
looks like a fabulous time was had by all. 🙂 fun, fun, fun.
Really, the first time they ever had cokes? Wow. I am so impressed…and a bit jealous of your parenting skills 🙂
Looks like a wonderful weekend!
Haha, I need a cage like that for my little wild animal!!!
And seriously, the first time they had soda? I bow to your parenting prowess. Ha!
SO thrilled that Baby T is doing well!
What a fun weekend. 🙂
What a fun weekend! I think I’ll post our “July 4th Celebration” on Thursday. Perfect.
It’s a rather busy week so that buys me a day of two!
Wonderful pictures! Thanks for sharing!
The car ride seems like it was well worth it!!! And good for you for not letting the beer go bad!!!
Glad you had a fun weekend!!!
Looks like an awesome weekend! Ours was super boring in comparison! Root beer on tap? What a great idea!
